This week has been another week absolutely full of miracles… It has been incredible! Last sunday, one of our recent converts (baptized about three weeks ago), brought a freind to church with her named Rosa. Rosa was Catholic, but not practicing. When we talked to her for the first time she basically told us that she didn’t know why she was there because she enjoys her lifestyle of worshiping saints, smoking and drinking tea and would not change. We told her to just focus on her feelings and eventually she would want to change. She enjoyed church, and stayed to watch the baptism of Luis. During the ordinance the spirit touched her. She had to leave the room becuase she was so full of new feeling that she was about to cry! We marked an appointment with her for the next day and went by to teach her about the Restoration of the Gospel. At the beginning of the lesson, she was not really focusing nor learning anything. We kept trying to get her to pay attention, but nothing worked. That is when we decided to turn the lesson over the the spirit and simply bear testimony. We did, for a long time, and the more we testified the more she listened. The spirit flooded the room. Before too long she was crying and said she was feeling something she had never felt in her life before. Something amazing. We invited he to be baptized the following sunday on the spot and she accepted. She said there was a voice in her head that just kept commanding, “batiza! batiza!” At the end of the lesson she told us she would stop smoking, drinking tea, and worshiping saints without us even saying anything. It was by far one of the most powerful lessons of my mission! Yesterday, Rosa was baptized 🙂 It was fantastic!
I hope all continues to go well with you all back home. I love you and miss you! Thank you so much for all of the love and prayers you send. Have a great week.
